Lady's Monthly Museum (1810)

"Fig. 2--A plain black cloth pelisse, buttoned up the front; straw hat with a black crape flower in front; black shoes and gloves." [Mourning Dress]

"FULL DRESS
Fig.3--A black crape dress, over black sarsnet, made with short sleeves, and trimmed with lace; the waist confined with a brilliant band; hair fashionably dressed, black kid gloves and shoes." This Mourning Dress is very similar to one from Ackermann's Repository
