Mrs. Paul Revere (1813)

Mrs. Revere wears a ribbon and lace cap
over a warm-looking dress with a lace ruff. The dress is similar to some
pelisse dresses in that the lace down
the front of the bodice could be covering a seam. However, the skirt suggests
this is not a dress that can open in the front as a pelisse would.
