This is one of my favorite portraits, despite or perhaps because of its unfinished state. Mrs. Morton's veil allows for the arms to be in an attractive raised position, drawing more attention to her excellent figure. The dress and jewelry are merely hinted at, drawing attention to the beautiful and mysterious face of Mrs. Morton.
