"Portrait of Madame Récamier" (c.1800-1810)

This seems a little crude to be Gérard's work; the ad I copied this image from was no doubt trying to raise the value of the painting. However, the painting is clearly of a regency lady playing a lute. Her rich blue gown shows her chemise of thin muslin beneath it.
